Jen Hatmaker Is So Glad Her Daughter Is Gay

Jen Hatmaker is a popular "Christian" author, blogger, speaker, and TV star on HGTV.  A few years ago she made headlines when she voiced her support for same-sex marriage.  But she made it clear that her support wasn't based on a libertarian view of the law.  She does not believe that homosexuality is a sin.  

So, it was not surprising when she recently voiced her support excitement upon learning that her daughter is a lesbian.  She literally said, "I’m so glad you’re gay. I’m so glad you’re free. I’m so glad this is how you were made. I’m thrilled about your future. I already told you about the kind of wife you need to marry."

Tragic.  While God loves both Jen Hatmaker and her daughter, He is not pleased with their sinful choices.  Let me just remind you that the Bible clearly condemns homosexuality (Lev 18:22; 1 Tim 1:9-11).  I'm not judging; I'm just telling you what the Law says.  The Bible describes homosexuality as an abomination, disgraceful, unnatural, shameless, an error, and unrighteous.  The Bible says that unrepentant homosexuals will go to hell (1 Cor 6:9-11).  

The Biblical (true) definition of love is not affirming a person's choices, it is meeting a person's needs, and doing what is best for a person.  What our children need is not for us to accept their sinful choices, but to tell them the truth, and warn them of the coming judgment.  God loves us no matter what, and through Jesus Christ He can deliver us from the power and penalty of sin.

Should Christians Attend Gay Weddings?

The well-known preacher Alistair Begg was recently dropped by the American Family Radio for advising Christians to attend gay weddings.  Is he right or wrong?  Well, let's talk about it.   Christians should NOT attend gay weddings.  Why?   First, a wedding is marriage ceremony (Merriam-Webster).  According to the Bible, marriage is the union of one man and one woman for a lifetime.  In other words, gay marriage is not actually marriage, and a gay wedding is not actually a wedding.  Therefore, it is impossible to attend gay weddings because according to the Bible they don't exist.   Second, a gay wedding is the celebration of a homosexual marriage.  The Bible says that homosexuality is a sin against God.   As Christians, we cannot celebrate what God condemns.   Third, we attend weddings to show our love for the people getting married.  However, does a Christian have to attend a gay wedding to show their gay friend that they love them?  Of course not.  Let's say that your no

Are We Approaching Armageddon?

The short answer is no.  For the longer answer, keep reading. When you hear the word, “Armageddon,” what comes to mind?  Many think of it as the final, catastrophic world war at the end of the world before Christ comes back.  “Prophecy experts” have always claimed that Armageddon was going to happen in their own generation.  They’ve always been wrong.   What does the Bible say about Armageddon?  The Bible only mentions the word Armageddon one time (Rev 16:16).  The context of the passage is not the end of the world, but the final destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70, almost 2,000 years ago.
