Why You Shouldn't Be A Swiftie

America has gone Taylor Swift crazy!  Adoring fans even proudly refer to themselves as Swifties.  But if you are a Christian, and if you are a Christian parent, then there are good reasons why you shouldn't be a fan of Taylor Swift, and why you shouldn't let your daughter be a Swiftie.  

Maybe you don't know about Taylor Swift beyond her music.  Take a look at this short list of things she has said and done recently.  If you can still enjoy singing along with her music, watching her videos, and paying big bucks for her concerts, I'm shocked.  

She accused Donald Trump of “stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency.”  Source

She accused Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn of being a “homophobic racist” and “Trump in a whig” in her Netflix documentary "Miss Americana."  Source

She has publicly opposed state laws that protect children from irreversible transgender medical procedures, including hormone therapy and genital transmogrification.  She calls such laws “harmful pieces of legislation.”  Source

She is a big supporter of the LGBTQ community and a big promoter of Pride Month.  Source

She cast a female-to-male transgender model as her love interest in the “Midnights” music video.  The video shows a scene of Swift and transgender model Ashely Laith in bed together, with Swift caressing Ashley’s back.  Source

When she officially endorsed Joe Biden for president in the 2020 election, she said that abortion and gay rights were among her top issues in choosing a candidate.  Source

She publicly criticized the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.  She tweeted, “I’m absolutely terrified that this is where we are — that after so many decades of people fighting for women’s rights to their own bodies, today’s decision has stripped us of that.”  Source

She publicly complained about the U.S. Census forms only having two gender options, male and female, saying that it represented “the erasure of transgender and nonbinary people.”  Source

She teamed up with GLAAD to push for the passage of the dangerous Equality Act, which would “allow transgender women to compete in women’s sports and to use women’s restrooms and locker rooms. It would also prioritize gender identity over biological sex, and pave the way for gender ideology to be taught in classrooms.”  Source

She joined Barack Obama to headline an LGBTQ event to honor Stonewall Day.  Many believe that the Stonewall riots in New York City in 1969 sparked the beginning of the modern gay rights movement.  Source

Even though she is a climate-alarmist, describing climate change as a “horrific situation,” she was named by Yard the number one celebrity climate criminal with regard to her use of private jets.  Source

She has admitted that her song “Only the Young” was written and released to encourage young voters to get engaged in left-wing causes.  Source
