Bruce Jenner and Transgenders

So I'm sure you've seen the recent cover of Vanity Fair with Bruce Jenner Caitlyn on the cover.  Bruce Jenner's story has been all over the media, and most of what we're hearing is positive -- "Bruce is a hero!  So courageous!"  But is it really courageous and commendable when a man decides to try to turn himself into a woman?  Of course not.  Courage is doing what is right, even when it is hard.  It is always connected to virtue -- purity, justice, compassion, sacrifice, etc.  Doing the wrong thing is never courageous -- regardless of how weird it is.  Doing the wrong thing is not courageous; it is just plain wrong.  God made Bruce to be a man, and there's nothing that he can do to truly change that.  Bruce is obviously in a lot of pain, searching desperately to fill the void in his life.  But that's a hole that only God can fill.  True happiness can only be found in an obedient relationship with Jesus Christ.

I encourage you to read Matt Walsh's great article on Bruce Jenner:  "Calling Bruce Jenner a Woman is an Insult to Women."  He provides some much needed common sense and sanity to the story, and to our culture's gender confusion.
