Church Tomorrow: Politics, Abortion, and My Endorsement for President

I don't know why, but my kids' favorite sermons are when I preach on politics and culture -- things like religious liberty, civic engagement, abortion, homosexuality, same-sex marriage, transgenderism, etc.  And I think that's really cool!  I think it's cool that the kids at Church Acadiana are learning from an early age that the church is not an escape from the world, but a place that equips Christians to live for God in the world.  They are learning that the church does not avoid hot-button issues; rather it teaches Christians how to think about hot-button issues from a Biblical worldview.

And that's why my kids are really looking forward to church tomorrow.  My sermon is titled, "Vote:  It is a Matter of Life and Death."  I will be talking about why the church should talk about politics, why Christians should vote, why the upcoming presidential election is so important, and who I think Christians should vote for.  Our church does not officially endorse political candidates.  But I have no problem telling you who I think is the right person for the job.

Even if you don't regularly attend church, I invite you to join us for worship tomorrow at Church Acadiana, 10-11 am, Celebrity Theatres in Broussard.
