How to be Blessed Today
"God raised up his servant and sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your evil ways (Acts 3:26).”
If you want God to bless you today, then just do this one simple thing: Turn from your evil ways. God wants to bless you. He loves you. But God will not bless sin. He will not aid you in your rebellion. He will not help you to dishonor Him. He will not support your immorality. He will not fund your disobedience. Would the American military send guns and ammo to Isis? Would the police help the mafia with their illegal activities? Neither will God bless you in your sin.
There is a twofold blessing when you turn from sin.
Is there any known sin in your life? Are you holding on to any sin? Is there any area of your life that is not pleasing to God? Are you looking at pornography? Are you getting drunk? Are you stealing? Are you having pre-marital sex? Are you committing adultery? Are you lying? Are you cursing? Are you not tithing? Are you neglecting church? Are you gossiping?
Repent. Turn from your evil ways. Return to the Lord. And be blessed today!

There is a twofold blessing when you turn from sin.
- God will bless you. When you turn from sin, you turn to God's blessings. God's blessings of provision, protection, peace, and power become available to you. "The Lord's curse is on the household of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the righteous (Pr 3:33)."
- Sin will no longer batter you. Turning from sin is a blessing in itself, because sin only harms. When you choose to sin, you choose to suffer. You body, mind, and soul were not made for sin. "The way of the wicked leads to ruin (Ps 1:6)." Your life will immediately improve just by parting from your evil ways.
