Why Your Prayers Are Going Unanswered

If you have been praying without results, then I may know the reason -- unconfessed sin.  Take a look at 1 John 3:21-22.
Dear friends, if our hearts don’t condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive whatever we ask from him because we keep his commands and do what is pleasing in his sight.
If your prayers are going unanswered, ask yourself two questions:
  1. Are you keeping God's commands?
  2. Are you doing what is pleasing in His sight -- in every arena of your life?
It's been said that there are three reasons for unanswered prayers.  First, when the request is wrong (harmful) God says "No."  Second, when the timing is wrong God says "Slow."  Third, when you are wrong (living in sin) God says "Grow."

God will not support your sin.  He will not reinforce your rebellion.  He will not encourage your evil.  He will not finance your foolishness.  Before He will answer your prayer, you must obey His word.
"Answers to prayer are given to those whose hearts answer to the Lord’s commands." Charles Spurgeon
