How to Combat Racism
1) Drop the double standards. If it is wrong for white people to say the "N" word, then it should be wrong for everyone. If it is wrong to vote for someone because they are white, then it should be equally condemned when someone admits to voting for Obama because he was black.
2) Put an end to affirmative action. All race-based preferences in hiring and admissions are by definition racist. They are condescending to blacks and unfair to whites. Instead of forcing organizations to prove they are not racist, the burden of proof must be placed on the one who is making the accusation of racism. We must return to a merit-based system in which people are judged by the content of their character, not the color of their skin.
3) Stop blaming all the problems and disparities in the black community on racism. If you can point to a racist law or practice, then I will join you in fighting it. But don't assume that disparity equals discrimination.
4) Drop the "Black Lives Matter" mantra. It is extremely divisive. The BLM organization is trash, and certainly not worthy of any honorable person's support. The mantra itself implies that there are many people who don't believe that black lives matter, or that the police do not believe that black lives matter, yet both of these implications lack legitimate evidence. All lives matter; that is a value that should unite all Americans. Most of the problems in the black community can be easily attributed to culture, sin, and the breakdown of the black nuclear family.
5) Stop demonizing the United States as racist country. Have some perspective. It is the least racist country on earth. Learn some history. It has done more to combat racism than any other country on earth. People of color from all over the world see the USA for what it is truly is, the land of opportunity. And when they immigrate to America legally, they tend to succeed far beyond their wildest dreams. A black person in America can be and do whatever they set their mind on; racism can no longer hold them back.
6) Stop lying about diversity. The "diversity lies" include the following: 1) A racially diverse organization makes for a stronger organization. 2) Organizations should reflect the racial diversity of the surrounding community. 3) Organizations that are not racially diverse are racist. None of this is true. If it were, then why don't NBA and NFL teams aim for diversity? Why aren't they condemned for their lack of diversity? Why don't they reflect the diversity of the community? Because all this talk about diversity is baloney. If an organization happens to be racially diverse, fine. But pursuing racial diversity as a goal is actually racist, because the focus is on skin color rather than character. Rather than diversity, we need to aim for being colorblind in the way we view and treat people.
Racism (mistreating a person because of their skin color) is evil. MLK has a lot of skeletons in his closet that need to be addressed, but he accomplished a great deal to lead our country to repent of racism. For that I am thankful and can honor his memory.
