Wokeness: A Definition by Ben Shapiro

How would you define "wokeness"?  We hear the term thrown around all the time these days, but what exactly does it mean?  

In his podcast yesterday, Ben Shapiro provided a clear definition: “Wokeness is the basic idea that if there is any sort of disparity between group outcome in American life, that somehow that group disparity is due to discrimination.  And the only corrective is therefore reverse discrimination – some form of discrimination that is going to equalize the outcomes of the various groups.”

In other words, "wokeness" is the idea that if one group is doing worse than another group in a particular area, it must be due to discrimination -- racism, sexism, ageism, etc.  Instead of studying group behavior to try to find the causes of the disparity, discrimination is just assumed -- contrary to evidence, facts, statistics, etc.  The solution?  Reverse discrimination.  

"Wokeness" is an evil ideology that destroys everything it touches, and Christians must do all they can to stand against it.
