Greek Word Study | 2098: gospel (euangelion)

The Theological Wordbook says that the English word "gospel" comes from the Anglo-Saxon word "godspell," which means "Godstory" or "good story."

Euangelion occurs more than 75 times in the NT, and 60 times in the Pauline epistles.
