Have You Experienced Believer's Baptism?

Have you experienced believer's baptism?  The Bible says the following about baptism:

1) It should follow your decision to become a Christian.  Hence, it only for those old enough to make this decision.

2) It the immersion of the believer in water.  The Greek word doesn't mean to splash, sprinkle, or spray; it means to submerge, or immerse, or dunk under the water.

3) It is essential.  It is a command, and therefore every Christian must get baptized.

4) It is not salvific.  Salvation occurs when we place our faith in Jesus Christ as God's only provision for our sins.  Baptism is only a symbol.  It portrays the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, as well as the death, burial, and resurrection of the believer in Christ.  It is also the public announcement of one's faith in Christ.  As one person said, "Baptism is the public declaration of your new association with Jesus."

At Church Acadiana we want to help you get baptized.  Let me know if you are interested!
